I am picking interest in writing poetry. Thanks to Dr. Standerfer who discovered my talent when I wrote a poem on gender equality for my final paper for her class of Public Service Advocacy. I submitted that particular poem for publishing in Uganda for an upcoming book on gender sexuality. This morning I got a comment from one of the ladies who is going to review the poem and another one I submitted recently. She said “You are an amazingly powerful writer. I was deeply moved by your writing”. As a budding writer, these words of inspiration and encouragement made my day today and a new dawn is in the making for me.
